Nowadays, sophisticated doorbells are also touted in advertisements. That doesn’t make making a choice any easier. Wireless
Many people today choose a wireless doorbell for its ease of use. A wireless doorbell consists of only two elements; a pusher and receiver. Sounds very simple, and it is.
As soon as the doorbell rings, a radio signal connects to the receiver. So you can also place the receiver in the living room or kitchen, but you have to consider the maximum transmission range. Otherwise the range can be lost and you won’t hear the doorbell ringing.

Unfortunately, signal problems can occur with a wireless doorbell despite the manufacturer’s stated transmission range. There can be several reasons why the range can be affected, such as interfering elements (concrete walls), many wireless devices in the house or other electrical device that radiate. Therefore, you can also opt for the well-known wired doorbell.
A wired doorbell is connected with a Friedland E3555 Belt transformer (bell transformer), which serves as a voltage converter for the use of the doorbell.

If you also want to be able to see the person at the door, a doorbell with a camera is a good buy. A video doorbell, as the name implies, has a built-in camera. This provides extra security because you can immediately see who is at your door and talk to them without opening the door.
It goes without saying that you should then choose a video doorbell with a talk-back feature. There are even smart doorbells on the market with app. This also allows you to remotely see who is at your door via the app on your smartphone. The best known video doorbell is the Ring Video Doorbell.

What do you choose?
We ourselves have a wireless doorbell. Advantage ( or just fun) is that you can adjust the melody yourself, also an advantage is that if your power has been off ( for example due to a power failure) the bell goes off as soon as the power is back on. This is very easy -and scary- when ’s the night the power has been off and you did not realize it.
The bell rings and you can immediately set your alarm clock back on time.
