Endless writing with a Correctbook
Learning to write is very common for our children. But also getting exercise books and pens at school is normal in Holland. Yet this is not something every child takes for granted.
There are millions of children who go to school every day but have no writing materials there.
Children develop
Children should be able to develop themselves. Here it goes fine, but in Africa this is a different story. Correctbook is a company that wants to eliminate illiteracy by selling erasable notebooks.
And if you buy a correction book, you help children in Africa.
Learning to write
Recently I got a message in my mail about Correctbook and if I wanted to pay attention to this. Because as a mother with school-age children I know how important learning to write is, I like to do this. After all, learning to write and having enough markers and pens does not come naturally to everyone.
What is correctbook
Correctbook is an award-winning social enterprise working against global illiteracy. 250 million children every day do not have a pen and paper to learn to write. Correctbook produces infinitely erasable notebooks, for everyone.
By selling these products, they can use these erasable notebooks in places where it is desperately needed. So they donate 10-25% of the turnover in cooperation with foundation Kwasa and foundation Rhiza.
no writing materials
It’s hard to imagine. There are millions of children who go to school every day but don’t even have writing materials there to develop themselves. There are 1 billion illiterate people over the age of 15 in the world. With Correctbook, kids get writing materials that last for years.
In the Netherlands it is so common that at school the children’s lockers are well stocked with exercise books, pens and markers, but that luxury is not for everyone.
Good for the environment
We were sent a lime green Correctbook at home and are super happy with it. The youngest is busy learning for a topography test, currently this is the province of Zeeland. Instead of using scrap sheets, we now use the Correctbook to practice. This is going great, it just saves a lot of scrap paper that would otherwise end up in the recycle bin.
After writing and reviewing, we clean the sheet again with the sponge. We also use the notebook to keep score with hearts, darts or shuffleboard. It is not only good for the environment, in Africa it also means that children can write endlessly in these notebooks.
The goal of Correctbook es to provide 1 million children with a Correctbook in the next 5 years.
Correctbook produces endlessly erasable notebooks, for everyone on this world. When you purchase a Correctbook product, you give the same endless writing experience to children who don’t have access to writing materials.
