Maybe now more than ever, we want to live healthy, exercise more and want a fit body. We know that it is better for us to sleep well, drink less alcohol, exercise more and eat healthily. But how do you do that?

You can get healthy by following a book? Or you can change your diet by looking up information online? Getting a fit body by reading and talking on a forum? I can say yes to this. I worked for years as a weight consultant and even after I closed my practice, I have always remained interested in healthy eating, new movements, exercise and losing weight. That books or online can help with this, I am sure of it. But it takes a lot of self discipline!

Previously I was introduced to the Fit Method and now got to receive the new updated book. Because of permanent knee problems I cannot do much sport (although I walk a lot and do abdominal and arm exercises, this is not comparable to sport) I am very focused on healthy eating. I myself have been eating low-carb for quite some time, although I would like to make a note that I am not against bread, pasta, rice or potatoes. I only eat less and limit my sugar intake. This makes me feel very fit, have a fit body and lots of energy. Information about low-carb eating I get from cookbooks and online.

A book that is easy to read

The book reads well, it is written in clear language and easy to understand. If you want a fit body, then this is really recommended. Why? The book actually starts very clearly with your plans. What is your goal, your BMI and fat percentage, but also ‘where do you want to go?.’ There is a section on fat loss. Here are the questions like ‘why don’t I lose more weight?’, ‘How to deal with hunger and cravings while losing weight?’ and ‘how do I stay at my target weight?’.

Getting started with a step-by-step plan

After this, muscle building and changes in your eating habits are discussed. Then follows the roadmap, where you will think about what you want to change and how you want to do it. But also how to deal with a motivation dip or relapse.

Exercise and training

The following chapters consist of the topics; exercise and training. The chapter training is very extensive and focuses on strength training, which workouts for which part of the body and so on

Carbohydrates, proteins and fats

The nutrition chapter naturally grabs my attention, I always enjoy discovering new recipes and adding them to my list of favorite recipes. This is another comprehensive piece in the book and describes a few recipes in addition to all the nutrients ( of which I have already tried the overnight oats.
