Sustainable bag crochet

Sustainable bag crochet

Bringing your own bag when you go to the store, it's already so common, we don't know any other way. This can be a fabric bag, but if like me you like to crochet you can also make one yourself.

Working on sustainability

Sustainability, less plastic waste, I'm definitely trying to participate here. This is why I thought it was a very good development when plastic bags went out of the stores and we had to bring our own bags. Standard I carry a bag with me, but if I need to take something with me I always do it in a fabric bag.

What am I going to crochet.

Now I had recently finished crocheting a dream blanket and still had wool left over so I went looking for a pattern for a bag. I found many patterns of bag crochet but nothing that appealed to me. I kept searching, combining and merging a few patterns to come up with an easy pattern for a sustainable bag.

Crochet a bag

What you need:

  • 2 balls of Royal from Zeeman (I just had not enough with 1 ball)
  • Crochet hook 4
  • Embroidery needle

How to make this bag:

Crochet 5 rows, close with 1 hdc in the 1st row. This bag is crocheted in spiral turns, so you do not close it with a hvs, but keep crocheting further and further.
